About this Video

“Sarah, A Journey to Intersectionality” is a short animated film that reflects the complex realities of identity, stigma, and resilience. It tells the story of how overlapping social factors — such as gender, class, and occupation — shape a person’s life experience. As a communication artist, I contributed to amplifying this message through creative advocacy, helping transform data and dialogue into a story that connects emotionally and intellectually. This piece embodies my belief that communication is not just about awareness, it’s about empathy, inclusion, and collective understanding.

About this Video

“Addressing Violence Against Sex Workers” is a short advocacy film that sheds light on the realities of stigma, discrimination, and systemic neglect faced by sex workers across the region. The video calls for recognition, protection, and justice — emphasizing that safety and dignity are universal human rights. As a communication artist, I supported this project by transforming policy messages into visual storytelling that humanizes the issue, amplifies lived experiences, and inspires solidarity and change.

Diary/Journal Book Illustration Project

The APNSW Diary/Journal Book was developed as part of APNSW’s ongoing commitment to promoting mental health, reflection, and creativity within sex worker communities. Designed for activists and partner organisations across the region, the journal provides a safe space for self-expression, emotional well-being, and collective care.

This initiative highlights APNSW’s broader work on human rights, workers’ rights, gender justice, intersectionality, and decriminalisation — reminding us that mental health is inseparable from dignity and equality.

In the accompanying video, we share how the journal can be used as a daily tool for mindfulness, organising, and self-care. Through this creative project, we hope to nurture spaces where care, solidarity, and healing can thrive.
